Remembering the Sacrifice

The Canadians, who fought to defend the British Crown Colony in Hong Kong, gave a great sacrifice for the peace and freedom to the people of Asia and the Pacific. Their fight was a difficult and costly one, but their sacrifice serves as a reminder to us. The terrible ordeal for the survivors of the battle that followed as prisoners-of-war, serves as an additional reminder to us, of the great cost of war.

About this Site

I have created this site for a history project, I chose the battle of Hong Kong, in World War 2 because I think it is one of the most interesting battles, and it serves as a great example of the horrors of war.

I am a high school student, and I think everyone should know, and understand, the terrible price of war.
